Omaha man sentenced for possession of methamphetamine

53-year-old Edward Bean of Omaha, Nebraska was sentenced on Wednesday for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Bean was sentenced to 130 months of prison followed by five years of supervised release.

According to United States Attorney Joe Kelly, on February 27, 2020, Omaha Police utilized a confidential informant to purchase methamphetamine from Bean at his home.

After obtaining a search warrant, officers found 80 grams of actual methamphetamine and a digital scale.

Attorney Joe Kelly said in a post-arrest interview, Bean admitted to distributing methamphetamine.
